A brief history of the establishment of the Union of Banks of Armenia

The Union of Banks of Armenia (UBA) is a union of banks operating in the territory of the Republic of Armenia, established pursuant to Decision No. 1 of the Founding Assembly of banks dated 27 July 1995. At the time of establishment, 31 commercial banks joined the union. Currently, all 17 commercial banks operating in Armenia are members of the UBA. The Union is a legal entity, a non-commercial, non-governmental organization, established with the aim of protecting the interests of banks. The UBA is the legal successor of the Association of Banks of Armenia.
